Community Service Project
It’s raining textbooks for the C.A.R.E. Center at KSU!
Our community service project was a forward looking project to help the C.A.R.E. Center whose mission is working with disenfranchised student population, such as the homeless and former foster care youth. In this, we designed our project around giving the KSU student community the opportunity to contribute toward their expansion and help attaining their life goals by donating textbooks during the buy-back period.
The Center provides housing and food, but there still remained an important piece to the success for any student: a textbook.
We created a PSA for the student body at large (both Marietta and Kennesaw campuses) and posted it to our Facebook page. We are now looking forward to our final contributions to the C.A.R.E. Centers.
Our presentation highlighted the progress and hurdles we met as we worked the processes to completion.
From beginning to end, it was both exciting and challenging, and our final report was a reflection of the processes and leadership through the project. Additionally, we are actively seeking legitimate student groups to help carry this project forward into new semesters.
